Founded in 1999, the SEC Historical Society preserves and advances the history of financial regulation through an entirely virtual museum and archive — there is no physical building, so the website itself is the museum. Since first opening online in 2002, the archive had grown into a collection of nearly 10,000 historic papers, oral histories, recorded programs, and photographs living on an aging, custom-built platform. Cuberis migrated this decades-deep archive onto a modern, secure, and flexible WordPress framework, rebuilding the experience around fast keyword search, browsable digital exhibitions, and interactive timelines that connect regulatory milestones to the wider arc of U.S. and world events. The result gives researchers, educators, and the public a far more intuitive way to explore the collection, and gives the Society’s small team a platform they can manage and grow on their own.
