Cuberis Matching Grant* Program

*Cuberis provides matching grants (in the form of fee reduction) of up to $15,000 to small museums with fewer than 10 employees and less than $1M in annual revenue. The number and frequency of these grant awards are offered at the sole discretion of Cuberis.

Grant Terms and Conditions

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Museum Size: The museum must have fewer than 10 employees.
  2. Revenue: The museum’s annual revenue must be less than $1 million.
  3. Ongoing Costs Commitment:
    • Proactive Maintenance: $100 per month
    • Plugin Management Fee: $35 per month
    • Website Hosting: Typically between $75-$150 per month.
    • Paid Support: Budget for $2,000 – $3,000 per year for a la carte support at $140 per hour (as needed, no minimum required).

Grant Details

  1. Matching Grant Amount: Up to $15,000 in fee deduction for Cuberis website projects.
  2. Funding Restrictions: Cuberis grant value can only be applied to the website project itself. It cannot be allocated to any additional website-related platforms such as third-party collection management systems, ticketing, membership, and donation systems, CRM systems, or other marketing platforms.
  3. Project Flexibility:
    • Schedule Flexibility: Grant recipients must be flexible with project schedules, accepting potential delays if non-matching grant projects need priority.
    • Prioritization: Recipients must prioritize the project in terms of availability for scheduling meetings, milestone presentations, and providing timely feedback to Cuberis.

    • Affirmation of the museum’s ability to cover ongoing costs and à la carte support.*
    • Affirming of the museum’s flexibility with project schedules and prioritization.
    • Affirmation of the museum’s acceptance of terms of service.
    • Affirmation of acceptance of project terms.

* Ongoing costs include hosting (typically between $100-$150 per month), plugin management fee ($35 per month), plus any requested à la carte support (billed at $140 per hour). À la carte support budgeting has a wide range based on the museum’s needs, and the relative comfort of museum content administrators with the platform. For budgeting purposes, planning for an hour or two per month would be prudent—though many of our museum clients need little-to-no support for long stretches, once they are comfortable with the platform.
